A well-kept, comfortable, livable and environmentally clean suburb is the natural pattern of development for any European city, where suburban dwellings are a fact of life. Our company is the first to propose a suburb in the European style adjacent to Moscow, situating it on tracts of environmentally pure land southwest of Moscow, along the old Kaluga road. The project bears the name A101, which it shares with local highway, an extension of Moscow’s Profsoyuznaya Street. The A101 territory stretches between 3 and 23 kilometers’ distance from the Moscow Ring Road and covers 13 thousand hectares.

The development of metropolitan areas such as Moscow cannot be stopped, but should be managed. A sound growth plan requires development of nearby lands, the construction of self-sustaining suburbs in areas of high natural quality, with well-developed public facilities and good transport infrastructure. The present suburban Moscow market embodies an uncoordinated and hodge-podge combination of multi-storey residential buildings, townhouses, and “cottage” (detached home or villa) developments. Our mission is to show an alternative: to create a high-quality community in the suburbs, a new and harmonious housing environment within which it is convenient to live and work. Project A101 means the comprehensive and coordinated development of the region. It means the laying of new roads, building schools and kindergartens, and putting in place a unique recreational system.

At the Company "Masshtab" we focus on long-term results. Implementation of the Project should take from 30 to 35 years. Yet the construction process of the first phase will begin in the nearest future. А 101 will be developed as a combination of smaller projects – pieces of a puzzle that, as time goes by, will develop into a single beautiful whole.
