The existing natural ecosystem is one of the Project’s main values, being used to establish a recreational network: parks, public gardens, playgrounds, sport facilities, and entertainment centres. The ecological strategy used in area development contemplates comprehensive greening of the territory, as well as preservation and enlargement of available habitats.

Preservation and development methods:

• Creation of eco-passages for migration of animal species.
• Formation and maintenance of the connecting reservoir network.
• Creation of new woodlands to expand and support natural landscape.
• Support of the area’s natural drainage system.
• Preservation of natural ravine topography to enable natural soil drainage while enriching the local environmental quality.

А101 excludes any possibility of the area being used as a construction site for industrial facilities compromising local environmental conditions. The area landscaping program, specifically developed for А101, takes proper account of the local climatic and landscape peculiarities and provides an integrated solution of ecological and aesthetic issues.
